Engineering Council & Capital Municipal Council in Discussion

Officials from the Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions (CRPEP) met with the Capital Municipal Council representatives as part of the coordination and cooperation between the two bodies on matters related to the engineering offices and engineers in the kingdom.

Dr. Wafa Al Mansoori, Vice-Chairperson of the Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions (CRPEP) said that necessary measures for approving small additions or extensions in buildings were discussed along with the role of engineering offices and engineers through the provision of engineering supervision and other requirements.

Mr. Majdi Al Nasheet, Council Member of the Capital Municipal Council and Head of the Technical Committee, emphasized the need for regular meetings, coordination and exchange of information and periodic reports with respect to engineering offices, which will eventually raise the level of implementation effectiveness of Law and regulations.
