“CRPEP” Suspends the License of an Engineering Office and a Non-Bahraini Engineer

The Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions (CRPEP) issued two orders to suspend the license of a Bahraini Engineering Office for a period of one year and the license of a non-Bahraini Engineer for a period of three years and thus they won’t be able to practice engineering activities during the period of suspension, due to their violation of the regulations of the practice of engineering professions in the Kingdom. They have also been referred to the Public Prosecution as evidence is available that they practiced engineering activities without obtaining license from the Council and that an unlicensed individual was used to practice the engineering profession.

The Council stated that a Bahraini Engineering Office and a non-Bahraini Engineer were referred to investigation which concluded that they violated the rules and regulations pertinent to the practice of engineering professions, which prohibit practicing any engineering profession unless a license is obtained from the Council in accordance with the provisions of the Law with respect to regulating the practice of engineering professions, its Executive Regulation and decisions implementing it. Accordingly, the Council issued disciplinary actions against the violating office and engineer in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The Council called on the Engineering Offices, Engineers and companies operating in the engineering sector to ensure that their Engineers obtain the necessary licenses to carry out engineering work, as violating this will lead to taking legal actions against violators in addition to not counting the experience gained for any engineer working without a license.
