Al Qassab: Over Eight Thousand Visits to the Website of the Engineering Council

12 June 2017

Eng. Abdul Majeed Al Qassab, the Chairman of the Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions (CRPEP), said that during the first five months of 2017, there were 8,662 visits for the website of the Council (www.crpep.bh). He added that this reflects the genuine interest of the public in the information provided by the website of the Council. The list of licensed engineering offices in the kingdom is updated periodically with the details of the licensed engineers who work for these offices. There are also the annual and quarterly administrative reports of the Council as well as the details of the law of practice of engineering professions and its Executive Regulation including the licensing requirements. Al Qassab added that over 86% of these visits to the website were made by visitors from within the Kingdom of Bahrain, while 14% of the visitors were from outside the kingdom. Al Qassab affirmed that the Council believes that providing accurate information quickly and transparently to the interested parties is one of the factors that encourage internal and external investments in the kingdom and promotes the adoption of best practices in the field of practicing engineering professions.

Al Qassab pointed out that the website of the Council is periodically updated to reflect the latest regulatory resolutions for practicing engineering professions in the kingdom. He also called on the interested parties to take advantage of the information available on the website to determine the classification (categories) of engineering offices and disciplines (specialties), including the size and capabilities of these offices, which are linked to the classification criteria and which are reviewed periodically. He also called for direct contact with the Council’s Office in the event of any further inquiries or the desire to obtain additional information.
