The Council Participates in a Workshop on Safety in Engineering Consulting

The Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions (CRPEP) participated in a workshop under the title: \"Engineering Consultancy and its Impact on Occupational Accidents at Work Sites\" which was organized by the Ministry of Labor. Eng.
Hassan Al Shaikh, Manager of the Council for the Regulation the Practice of Engineering Professions, delivered a presentation giving a brief overview about the Council as well as viewing part of the legislations concerning the practice of engineering professions in the Kingdom, which are directly or indirectly driven by occupational safety. He also reviewed some of the challenges facing the engineering professions in the Kingdom and the strategies adopted by the Council to overcome such challenges.

It is worthwhile mentioning that the Council carries out an awareness campaign covering the law and regulations pertinent to practicing the engineering professions in the Kingdom, where it is prohibited to practice any engineering profession without obtaining a license from the Council, in accordance with the law of practicing engineering professions.
