Two Engineering Offices to Investigation Committee

29 April 2017

Eng. Abdul Majeed Al-Qassab, Chairman of the Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Profession (CRPEP), said that the Council has referred two engineering offices to investigate on alleged violations in accordance with the law of practicing engineering professions.

The law authorizes the Council to take disciplinary actions against those offices who proved to be violating law, ranging from warning to the suspension from practicing the engineering profession for a period not exceeding three years and the revocation of the license and the permanent deprivation of practicing the profession.
Eng. Al Qassab said that the Council is keen to ensure that all engineering offices in the kingdom, whether Bahraini or foreign companies, must comply with the laws and regulations, in particular Law No. 51 of 2014 with respect to the practice of engineering profession.

It is worthwhile mentioning that an inspection section has been established in the Council to ensure that engineering offices and engineers comply with the regulations in force in the kingdom, as the law granted the judicial control of the Council\'s staff concerning crimes within their jurisdiction. The penalty reaches to imprisonment and a fine not exceeding five thousand dinars for anyone who practices an engineering profession without the license from the Council, whether alone or in association with or through others or uses an unauthorized person to practice engineering.
